Located in central New York’s Tug Hill region in northwestern Oneida County, Little River Timberland sits just 4 miles west of McConnellsville, New York and 8 miles north of Oneida Lake’s shoreline. The terrain is flat to slightly rolling with a very easy north facing slope leading to the Little River along the northern boundary. A 2018 timber inventory shows a timber volume of 1,272 MBF (6 MBF / acre) dominated by red maple, hemlock, white pine, and black cherry, and a considerable amount of veneer sugar maple (timber inventory available upon request).
